Bamburgh

Bamburgh is a small but unique historic village with a spectacular castle and golden sandy beaches. There are pubs and restaurants catering for all the family and a number of shops. Shops include Carter’s Butchers, home of the famous Bamburgh Banger, a village store with home grown fruit & veg and newspapers, and local snack and gift shops. The Grace Darling Museum is a popular visitor attraction and there are tennis courts and childrens play area adjacent to the castle green. Seahouses c. 3 miles from Bamburgh by beach and less by road, has supermarket, shops, pubs, amusements and a harbour where boat trips to the Farne Islands can be taken.
